Hoffenheim triggered German goalkeeper Luca Philipp's contract extension clause..


Hoffenheim announced on their official website on Friday that they have triggered the contract extension clause of their German goalkeeper Luca Philipp.


According to Hoffenheim's official statement, Philipp's contract has been automatically extended for another year, with his new contract expiring in the summer of 2027.


After completing his contract extension procedures, Philipp, who, was interviewed by the Hoffenheim official website again, said: "Hoffenheim is the club I cherish most. I am honoured to continue to be a part of this team and follow the path we have set together."


"Our whole team is very strong, and my responsibility is to help the team improve every day. I will continue to train hard, support the team with my performance, and be ready to take responsibility at any time."


About Luca Philipp


The 26-year-old Philipp was born on November 28, 2000, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is 1.92 meters tall and plays as a goalkeeper.


Philipp joined Hoffenheim's youth academy at the age of 13, began playing for their reserve team in 2019, and completed his Hoffenheim first-team debut in a DFB-Pokal match in August 2024.


Since his debut, Philipp has so far made 8 appearances for the Bundesliga club in all competitions, conceding 20 goals.
