France's attacking firepower has been upgraded; Mbappe says they are more aggressive.

In a recent interview, French captain Kylian Mbappé stated that the current French team possesses a wealth of attacking talent, giving them a greater offensive advantage than the squads that reached the World Cup final in the previous two editions.

After defeating Senegal 3-1 in their opening Group I match, France is looking to beat Iraq on Monday to secure a place in the Round of 32. In their first game, France turned the tide in the second half thanks to their powerful attacking firepower and well-coordinated play.

Mbappe revealed that his attacking chemistry with Michael Olise, Ousmane Dembélé, and Desiree Dué is taking shape. He said, "This is a more attacking team, a team more inclined to push forward. The performance in the second half gave us a glimpse of what we can do when we are technically in good form."

In response to criticism of newly crowned Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembélé's poor performance in his first match, Kylian Mbappé offered strong support after watching the game footage twice. He emphasized that Dembélé's positioning created crucial space for his teammates.

“In the first half, he was the best of the four attacking players; he was the one who made our attack flow most smoothly. Although this isn't reflected in the statistics, it's very important because otherwise we wouldn't have been able to score. Osman is very calm, and he has the trust of the team and coaching staff,” Mbappe said.

National team coach Didier Deschamps also pointed out that Dembele played a more advanced role in Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League-winning season and still needs some tactical adjustments in the national team. If France can defeat Iraq on Monday, they will advance to the next round.
