OG defeated REKONIX to advance to the 2026 TI Southeast Asia Qualifier.

Two-time TI champion OG defeated Indonesian team REKONIX 2-1 in the upper bracket final of the 2026 Dota 2 International (TI) Southeast Asia closed qualifier, successfully advancing to the grand final.

This all-Filipino OG team is just one win away from returning to the annual World Championship (TI). In the first game, OG drafted their classic early-game lineup of Io and Gyrocopter. Thanks to Io's crucial Heal, OG gained the upper hand in early skirmishes, quickly controlling map vision and forcing REKONIX to retreat to his base, ultimately winning the first game in 48 minutes.

In the second game, REKONIX secured the helicopter and took the lead. Although the game turned into a 71-minute back-and-forth battle with multiple Divine Rapiers appearing on the field, OG's sneak attack in the enemy jungle failed, and REKONIX seized the opportunity to tie the score.

In the decisive game, OG shifted their hero to the support role and drafted Windranger and Lycan. Although REKONIX maintained an economic lead, OG controlled the overall game tempo, securing frequent and successful ganks in the early game. In the mid-game, REKONIX destroyed OG's base by contesting Roshan, but OG subsequently won several key team fights, pushing back to the enemy's high ground and securing the final victory in the 50th minute.

OG had a slump this season, including failing to qualify for DreamLeague Season 29. The team then brought in Raven, a Filipino carry player, to fill the offlane position, and this roster change paid off in this qualifier.

Currently, OG is waiting for the winner of the lower bracket, and the two sides will compete in a best-of-five series for the only ticket to TI 2026 from the Southeast Asian region.
