Eberrej Eze believes that one should try to enjoy the process of the game and maintain a positive and optimistic outlook for the future.

Eberrej Eze, reflecting on the draw against Ghana and his World Cup debut, said the team's overall atmosphere remains positive. He also believes England's journey to win their second World Cup title in 2026 will be a "long journey."  

In a group stage match at Boston Stadium, England drew 0-0 with Ghana. Having defeated Croatia 4-2 in the first round, England currently leads Group L on goal difference. England dominated the game and created several threats late in the match, but were unable to break through Ghana's defense.  

Eberrejko Eze came on as a substitute in the second half of the match, making his World Cup debut. After the game, he stated that the team had the right mentality to face any outcome and emphasized that the journey was still long. He said, "It's a long journey; we can't get too excited about one game, nor can we get too depressed."  

"We must maintain unwavering faith in the work we are doing, which is exactly what we have been striving for. At the same time, we try to enjoy the process of the game and maintain a positive outlook for the future. I believe that, based on our current training methods and match performance, we are capable of securing a favorable position in the group stage and fighting for a place in the knockout stage. As long as this belief continues, it will be crucial."  

After winning the Premier League title with Arsenal last season, Eberrej Eze received a call-up to Thomas Tuchel's national team. He also hopes to earn more playing time in the knockout stages of the World Cup.  

Speaking about his World Cup debut, Eberrej Eze said, "It's something to be grateful for. Being able to come here, get playing time, and contribute to the team is exactly what I've been striving for. I'm grateful for that and look forward to having more opportunities in the future."  

The England national team has returned to its training ground in Kansas City after their match in Boston and is currently undergoing a three-day recovery and preparation training session at Swope Soccer Village in preparation for their final group stage match against Panama in New Jersey. Eberrej Eze stated that he is satisfied with the current preparation environment and noted that while the team was slightly disappointed with their failure to defeat Ghana, they have maintained a high level of focus throughout.  

Eberrej Eze added: "Training and living with these professional players is a very positive experience. We are aware of the many voices from the outside, but the team focuses more on internal matters. We enjoy this relatively closed team environment, and I think maintaining this atmosphere is very important because there is a lot of discussion outside. As long as we stay united, that is the most crucial thing."
