Parma triggered on-loan Inter Milan defender Franco Carboni's buyout clause..

Parma announced on their official website on Thursday that they had triggered the buy-out clause of on-loan Argentine defender Franco Carboni from Inter Milan.

According to Parma's official statement, Carboni has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.

After completing his transfer procedures, Carboni, who was interviewed by the Parma official website again, said: "I'm very happy at Parma, and I thank everyone for giving me this wonderful opportunity. I really want to continue this journey. I can't wait to return to Tardini and fight for this jersey with my teammates again."

About Franco Carboni

The 23-year-old Carboni was born on April 4, 2003, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Standing at 1.90 meters tall, he primarily plays as a left wing-back but can also play as a left midfielder. He holds dual Argentine and Italian citizenship. 

His younger brother, Valentin, and father, Ezequiel, are also professional footballers; Valentin currently plays for Inter Milan, and Ezequiel is a former Lanús legend.

Carboni played in the youth academies of Lanús and Catania as a child before joining Inter Milan's youth academy in 2020. After being promoted to the first-team in 2022, Carboni was successively loaned-out to Cagliari, Monza, Ternana, River Plate, Venezia, and Empoli.

In July 2025, Carboni joined Parma on-loan with an option to buy.

Last season, Carboni made only 7 appearances for the Serie A club in all competitions, failing to score or assist.
