Valencia CF has finalized a contract extension with Guido Rodriguez. The Argentine midfielder, who played for the team in the second half of last season, will continue to play until 2028 with an option to extend for another year.

As a member of the 2022 World Cup-winning team and a two-time Copa America champion, Guido Rodriguez has already proven his worth at the highest level of competition. He possesses extensive experience in major tournaments and is able to exert a crucial influence on the tempo and flow of the game in the midfield.

In 17 appearances under Carlos Colberán's management, he scored 4 goals, quickly establishing his important position in the team. He was known for his distinctive playing style, balanced attack and defense, and consistent performance, and his contributions on both ends of the pitch played a key role in the team's improvement in the second half of the season.

The Argentine international will return to the Mestalla Stadium, donning the Valencia jersey once more to begin a new phase of his career.
