Norwegian esports powerhouse HEROIC announced on its official website on Wednesday that they have officially promoted DOTO, the head coach of its Counter Strike 2 (CS2) academy team, to its main team.
According to HEROIC's official statement, DOTO will become the head coach of its main team for the second half of 2026.
DOTO's arrival will fill the vacancy left by TOBIZ's recent departure.
In addition to TOBIZ, lead analyst R0nic also left the team at the same time.
HEROIC has also made significant changes to its roster, which is now international.
Firstly, support player xfl0ud has moved to FUT, while rifler yxngstxr, who was promoted to the main team earlier this year, has been benched.
Following the departures of these two players, HEROIC has signed AWP-er MartinezSa from Gentle Mates (M8).
They have also brought in former MOUZ ace In-Game Leader Brollan.
HEROIC's new roster will make its debut at the upcoming Stake Ranked Episode 3 in Barcelona. DOTO and his new teammates are expected to strive for a strong performance to win the $100,000 prize and secure a winning start.
The 30-year-old DOTO was a top rifler for HAVU and ENCE. His most notable achievements include winning ESL Pro League Season 14 and participating in the 2021 PGL Stockholm Major with the latter.
After retiring, inspired by his former teammate allu's philosophy, DOTO helped manage ENCE's Academy. However, in April 2025, he accepted an offer from HEROIC to become the head coach of their Academy.
During his time coaching at the Counter Strike 2 (CS2) Academy team, DOTO participated in numerous tournaments, winning two CCT Europe Series qualifiers.
HEROIC's new roster is as follows:
In-Game Leader: Chr1zN
AWP-er: MartinezSa
Rifler: susp
Rifler: nilo
Entry Fragger: Brollan
Head Coach: DOTO
Rifler: yxngstxr (benched)
AWP-er / Rifler: Alkaren (benched - on-loan from Spirit Academy)
