After leaving the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James has been making headlines with different teams, and NBA legend Charles Barkley has stated that LeBron James doesn't need to blindly pursue the achievements of other legends and believes the forward should return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
During his eight years with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James played 479 games, averaging 25.9 points per game with a field goal percentage of 9.8% and a three-point percentage of 35.6%. He also helped the Los Angeles Lakers win the NBA championship in the 2019/20 season.
Besides being linked with teams like the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat, and Cleveland Cavaliers, some media outlets have recently speculated that LeBron James might choose the Philadelphia 76ers.
NBA legend Charles Barkley said, "I want to tell you that LeBron James is not coming here, that's in the past. I've always thought so. The biggest criticism of LeBron James is that he's always building his own team because he's been chasing the illusion of Michael Jordan's achievements. He really should let go."
“I really like LeBron James, but he’s always talking about whether he’s the greatest of all time. Michael Jordan, on the other hand, never said he was the greatest of all time. Yet so many people are arguing about this every day, and I think it’s really stupid.”
Charles Barkley said, "In my opinion, LeBron James should go back to the Cleveland Cavaliers and finish his career there. If he goes back to the Cleveland Cavaliers, I think they will be the most promising team to win the championship in the East because they already have a great roster, they just lack a true leader, and LeBron James is a great leader."
"The three greatest basketball players I've ever seen are, in order, Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James. Everyone has their own opinion, but based on my own observations, the three best players are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and LeBron James."
In addition, Charles Barkley said, "No one would ever say that Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were good guys, but LeBron James is."
"Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant had only one thought on the court: to take down the opponent at all costs. They were like fanatics, very dangerous, and they only cared about winning, never about their friends."
