Mourinho officially returns to Real Madrid to kick off the new season.

José Mourinho has officially arrived at the Valdebebas training ground to fully commence preparations for Real Madrid's 2026-27 season.

Mourinho is currently finalizing his coaching plans at Real Madrid's training ground. The team's preseason will officially kick off this Monday, with players undergoing routine medical examinations first.

In an interview with Real Madrid TV, Mourinho expressed his strong sense of mission to return to the team and shared his outlook for the new season. Mourinho stated in the interview: "Words cannot express how I feel, because it feels like a mission."

“I’m not here to worry about myself, nor to care about how many honors I can win. My goal is to help everyone here become better, including the players and coaching staff.”

"We want to create a culture together that is full of passion, responsibility and ambition. I really like the concept that I work not only for Real Madrid, but for Real Madrid. It is with this spirit that I came here."

Speaking about the current progress of preparations, Mourinho revealed that although he has just arrived at the training base, communication and planning with all levels of the club have been carried out for a long time through remote technology. At present, the main task is to finalize the work that has been completed and is yet to be carried out.
