Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Yuri Tielemans, with both parties agreeing to a contract valid until June 2031.

Manchester United have officially announced that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Yuri Tielemans. The Belgian international midfielder will officially become a Manchester United player after completing the relevant registration procedures, and the two sides have signed a contract valid until June 2031. The 29-year-old Yuri Tielemans has made 90 appearances for the Belgian national team and captained the team to the quarterfinals of the recently concluded 2026 World Cup.  

In the 2025/26 season, Yuri Tielemans continued his high-level performance for Aston Villa, contributing 7 assists and helping the team win the Europa League title. In the final against Freiburg, he opened the scoring, giving his team the lead. Furthermore, among all Premier League midfielders and forwards, he leads the league in the number of passes created per 100 passes, and ranks second in similar passes completed under pressure, demonstrating exceptional playmaking ability and passing vision.  

Speaking about joining Manchester United, Yuri Tielemans said: "It's really hard for me to express my feelings right now. It's a huge honor for me to be a part of Manchester United. Joining such a historic and meaningful club still feels a bit unbelievable to me. It's a dream I've been pursuing and finally achieving since the moment I fell in love with football."
