Arsenal Football Club has officially announced that Belgian striker Leandro Trossard has permanently transferred to Turkish Super League side Besiktas.
The 31-year-old Trossard joined Arsenal from Brighton in January 2023. During his three and a half years at Arsenal, he made 174 appearances in all competitions, contributing 36 goals and 34 assists.
During his time at Arsenal, Trossard left behind several key performances. In the 2023 Community Shield match against Manchester United, he scored a stoppage-time equalizer, helping his team ultimately win the title on penalties.
In the recently concluded 2025-26 season, Trossard scored the only goal of the game in an away match against West Ham United, a winning goal that played a decisive role in Arsenal's eventual Premier League title win that season.
Trossard began his professional career in Belgium with the youth academy of Genk, and later made a name for himself at Brighton. At the national team level, he is also an important member of the Belgian national team, having made 57 appearances for the senior national team, scoring 14 goals, and participating in four major international tournaments.
Arsenal Football Club expressed their gratitude to Trossard in an official statement for his valuable contributions to the team and wished him all the best in his future career. The transfer is currently awaiting final completion of the necessary registration procedures.
