Hull City officially announce the signing of Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland..

Hull City announced on their official website on Wednesday that they have signed England international goalkeeper Jack Butland from Rangers.

According to Hull City's official statement, Butland has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028.

After completing his transfer, Butland, who was interviewed by the Hull City official website for the first time, said: "I'm really looking forward to it. I've met a few teammates and it feels like a great place. The team atmosphere is very vibrant, and I can't wait to start this new journey."

"The transfer happened very quickly, within a few weeks. It was a rare opportunity; we had talks, and it sounded like my dream."

"Returning to the Premier League is both a challenge and an opportunity for me. I believe I belong here and can perform well here, so it was a fantastic opportunity, and I seized it without hesitation."

About Jack Butland

The 33-year-old Butland was born on March 10, 1993, in Bristol, England. He is 1.96 meters tall and joined Birmingham City's youth academy at the age of 7.

Butland was promoted to the first-team in the summer of 2010, but in September 2011, he spent time on-loan at Cheltenham Town to gain playing experience.

After an impressive loan spell, Butland completed his Birmingham City first-team debut in May 2012 upon his return, quickly establishing himself as the starting goalkeeper.

On the 2013 winter transfer window deadline day, Butland joined Stoke City for £3.5 million, but was subsequently loaned-out to Barnsley, Leeds United, and Derby County.

Returning to Stoke City in October 2014, Butland became their first-choice goalkeeper and made appearances for the England national team. However, his performances declined after the club's relegation to the Championship in 2018, and he hasn't been called up to the Three Lions squad since.

In October 2020, Butland transferred to Crystal Palace for £1 million.

In January 2023, Butland joined Manchester United on-loan. During his time there, he won the FA Cup.

After his contract expired that summer, Butland joined Rangers on a free transfer.

During his three-year spell with Rangers, Butland made 157 appearances for the Scottish Premiership giants in all competitions, conceding 176 goals and keeping 55 clean sheets, winning the Scottish League Cup once.
