In the quarterfinals of the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup (EWC) playoffs, the Eastern European team PARIVISION defeated Rune Eaters 2-0, successfully advancing to the semifinals.
PARIVISION will face Team Yandex in the next round for a place in the finals. With this victory, PARIVISION has secured a top-four finish in the tournament and earned at least $120,000 in prize money.
As one of the favorites to win this year's Esports World Cup, PARIVISION advanced directly to the next round with a 9-1 record, finishing first in Group C. In their match against Rune Eaters, they demonstrated a clear advantage in skill.
The first game lasted only 36 minutes, with PARIVISION easily winning with a kill count of 43 to 14. Player Satanic used Shadow Fiend to get 19 kills.
In the second game, although Rune Eaters tried to fight back, PARIVISION once again secured the victory with a kill count of 43 to 9 within 30 minutes. Satanic used "Prophet" to get 22 kills, helping the team sweep their opponents 2-0.
Despite being eliminated, Rune Eaters, a team formed just over two months ago, demonstrated their strength as the bottom lane team. They had previously drawn with strong teams such as BetBoom and Xtreme, and then defeated Virtus.pro and Aurora in the qualifying rounds, ultimately finishing in 5th to 8th place and winning a prize of $70,000.
PARIVISION will continue their pursuit of their second Tier 1 tournament title this season and prepare for The International (TI) in 2026.
