Tarik Mujaremovic has officially joined Leeds United and signed a five-year contract with the club.

Leeds United have officially announced the completion of another summer signing, with Bosnian international Tarik Mujaremovic joining the club from Serie A side Sassuolo. The two sides signed a five-year contract, and the transfer fee was not disclosed. The 23-year-old centre-back becomes Leeds United's second new signing this summer on a permanent transfer, following Harry Wilson. Despite his young age , Tarik Mujaremovic already possesses extensive experience in top-flight leagues and international matches.  

In the 2025/26 season, Tarik Mujaremovic gradually developed into a key figure in Sassuolo's defense, making significant contributions to solidifying the team's backline and helping them finish the season 11th in Serie A. Thanks to his consistent and outstanding performance throughout the season, the young center-back successfully earned a place in the Bosnian national team squad and will participate in the 2026 World Cup this summer.  

Standing at 1.93 meters tall, Tarik Muharemovic possesses excellent physical attributes and is a center-back skilled in aerial duels. His professional career began in Austria, where he made his first-team debut for Wolfsberger and gained experience in the Austrian top league.  

After making only six appearances for Wolfsberger's first team, Tarik Mujaremovic's outstanding performances caught the attention of several European clubs. Ultimately, Juventus were the first to sign him, bringing the promising center-back to Turin for further development. During his time with the Bianconeri, he also made his debut for the Bosnian national team.  

In August 2024, Tarik Mujaremovic joined Sassuolo on loan and quickly integrated into the team. In his second appearance for the club, he scored his first goal, kicking off a successful season. Ultimately, he helped Sassuolo win the Serie B title and achieve their goal of returning to Serie A.  

Thanks to his outstanding performance during his loan spell, Tarik Mujaremovic earned Sassuolo's trust after making 30 appearances that season, prompting the club to activate his buy-out clause and officially sign him. Entering the 2025/26 season, the Bosnian center-back maintained his consistent form, making 33 appearances across all competitions, further solidifying his core position in the defense.  

At the national team level, Tarik Mujaremovic has also made significant progress. To date, he has made 17 appearances for the senior national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, participating in the UEFA Nations League, World Cup qualifiers, and World Cup playoffs, and ultimately helping the team qualify for the 2026 World Cup finals, making his World Cup debut.  

With the official signing of Tarik Mujaremovic, Leeds United have secured their second summer transfer. The club warmly welcomes the Bosnian international and looks forward to him showcasing his abilities and contributing significantly to the team in the upcoming 2026/27 Premier League season.  

After completing the signing, Tarik Muharemovic said: "Being a part of this club, I will give my all. I will fight for victory in every game.
