Deportivo A Coruña announced on their official website on Saturday that they have signed former Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Marseille.

According to A Coruña's official statement, Aubameyang has signed on a short-term two-year deal with the club which will only run until the summer of 2028.

About Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

The 37-year-old Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was born on June 18, 1989, in Laval, France. He is 1.87 meters tall and primarily plays as a center forward, but can also play as a left or right winger. He holds dual French and Gabonese citizenship, and both his father and elder brother are former Gabon internationals.

Aubameyang played for the youth academies of Nice, Laval, Rouen, and Bastia during his childhood. In 2007, he joined AC Milan's youth academy and was promoted to the first-team the following summer. He was subsequently loaned out to Dijon, Lille, and Monaco.

On the 2011 winter transfer window deadline day, Aubameyang joined Saint-Étienne on-loan, with the club later triggering his buy-out clause that summer.

During his two-and-a-half-year spell with Saint-Étienne, Aubameyang won the Coupe de la Ligue once.

In July 2013, Aubameyang joined Borussia Dortmund for €10 million.

During his four-and-a-half-year spell with the BVB, Aubameyang won the DFB-Pokal once and the DFL-Super Cup twice, as well as reaching the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals twice and the UEFA Europa League quarter-finals once. He even became one of the best strikers in the Bundesliga and Europe in terms of goal-scoring efficiency.

On the 2018 winter transfer window deadline day, Aubameyang joined Arsenal for £56 million.

During his four-year spell with the Gunners, Aubameyang won one FA Cup and one Community Shield, as well as reaching the Carabao Cup and Europa League final once each. However, he was released on the 2022 winter transfer window deadline day after a major falling out with the Premier League powerhouse.

After leaving Arsenal, Aubameyang joined Barcelona on a free transfer.

In his only season at Barcelona, Aubameyang won the La Liga title with the club.

On the 2022 summer transfer window deadline day, Aubameyang joined Chelsea for €12 million.

However, his time at the Blues was marred by the rapid sacking of then-manager Thomas Tuchel, and his clashing philosophy with his successor Graham Potter. Thus his performance was bad.

In July 2023, Aubameyang joined Marseille on a free transfer. During his time there, he helped Marseille reach the Europa League semi-finals.

The following summer, Aubameyang joined Al-Qadsiah for €7 million. During his time there, he helped the Saudi Pro League club reach the Saudi King's Cup final.

In August 2025, Aubameyang returned to Marseille as a free agent.

Last season, Aubameyang made 41 appearances for the Ligue 1 powerhouse in all competitions, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists, helping the team reach the Coupe de France quarter-finals.
