Lionel Scaloni admitted he was saddened by the defeat, but he was incredibly proud of the fighting spirit shown by his players.

Argentina narrowly lost 0-1 to Spain in the World Cup final, failing to lift the trophy. After the match, Argentina's head coach Lionel Scaloni gave an interview, discussing the team's performance and his feelings about the World Cup journey.  

After the match, Lionel Scaloni said, "There is definitely disappointment and sadness, but at the same time, I am incredibly proud of everything this team and these players have achieved. This match was very taxing, and losing it is very painful for me. However, I am proud of the competitiveness they showed throughout the game; they proved themselves to be a group of true warriors."  

"Today we proved that we can accept defeat and face it in the right way. A truly great team not only knows how to win, but also how to maintain dignity after a loss. We must acknowledge our opponents' performance; they certainly had a certain advantage in the game. However, they didn't create many clear-cut chances before the final stages. I'm also curious to see how the game would have ended if both sides had played with 11 men. Some unexpected situations arose during the game, forcing us to make frequent personnel adjustments. The team needs to respond promptly to the situation on the field."  

Throughout the match, Argentine fans stood behind their team, cheering them on from the opening whistle to the final whistle. After the game, Lionel Scaloni expressed his gratitude to the Argentine fans and people who supported the team.  

Lionel Scaloni said: "I want to thank all the fans who support us, and I also want to tell the whole country that we have given our all. These players gave their all, and they are role models for everyone. Being able to stand in this position is an opportunity that many people dream of, so I want to thank Tapia for his trust in me forever. Everything here is very special, but the feeling of losing the game in the end is really painful."
