Auxerre striker Sinayoko has officially joined Paris FC on a three-year contract.

Paris Saint-Germain announced on Tuesday the official signing of Malian international Rasin Sinayoko. The two sides reached a three-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.

Sinayoko transferred from Auxerre. His contract with Auxerre was originally set to expire in June 2027, but Paris FC ultimately spent a whopping 8 to 10 million euros to bring him to the club.

The 26-year-old Sinayoko is a versatile striker standing at 1.86 meters tall. He began playing for Auxerre's reserve team in 2017. On April 11, 2021, he made his professional debut for Auxerre in a Ligue 2 match.

To date, Sinayoko has made 175 appearances for Auxerre, scoring 31 goals and providing 25 assists.

According to French media reports, the transfer process was not without its challenges. When Auxerre renewed Sinayoko's contract last year, they signed a written agreement promising to release him if a suitable offer was received. However, this summer, they rejected multiple offers from Paris FC.

Faced with the club's reneging on its promises, Sinayoko chose to express his desire to leave by refusing to train. After some back and forth, the two sides finally reached an agreement on the transfer.

Regarding Sinayoko's arrival, Paris FC sporting director Marco Nepe commented: "We are delighted to announce the official signing of Racine Sinayoko today. He is a talented striker in his prime. He will make us better both on and off the pitch. With his skills, physique, football intelligence, ambition, and charisma, Racine is the ideal fit for Paris FC."

Sinayoko stated on the X platform: "I am very happy to join Paris FC and start this new journey."
