PlayTime signs Abed and Jabz to rebuild their Dota 2 roster.

After dismissing DarkMago, a player suspected of match-fixing, and relegating former offlaner Frank to the bench, Peruvian Dota 2 team PlayTime (whose parent company is based in the Philippines) announced the signing of Southeast Asian stars Abed (midlaner) and Jabz (offlaner) to complete their starting lineup.

The team's latest starting lineup consists of Wits, Abed, Jabz, Scofield, and Elmisho. New signing Abed previously played for teams such as Evil Geniuses and Virtus.Pro. Compared to DarkMago, Abed has a wider hero pool, capable of playing heroes like Puck and Void Spirit, bringing more tactical options to the team.

Jabz previously played for Team Nemesis and has extensive experience in leading and commanding teams. PlayTime players are individually excellent, but they are prone to losing their way in chaotic situations. The 27-year-old Jabz can command the overall situation in the game and form an experienced partnership with veteran Scofield.

The team's starting lineup has been assembled, but the replacement for coach Vintage, who was involved in the scandal, has not yet been announced. It is speculated that Astini, who previously worked with Jabz and is familiar with the South American region, is a potential candidate.

The new roster will make its debut at the Future Games 2026 in Astana, Kazakhstan, from July 31 to August 5. The tournament boasts a total prize pool of $1 million and includes teams such as Xtreme Gaming and LGD Gaming. This is the last major event before The International 15 (TI15).
