The 76ers adjusted their roster by waiving wing player Darren Terry.

The Philadelphia 76ers officially announced on Sunday that they have waived 24-year-old wing player Dalen Terry.

Just two days ago, the 76ers reached a two-year, $8 million contract with superstar LeBron James. With Terry's departure, it means that only one former Arizona Wildcats player will be able to play alongside James next season.

In the recently concluded 2025-26 season, Terry experienced a tumultuous year. He was traded from his draft home team, the Chicago Bulls, to the New Orleans Pelicans in February, only to be waived the following day. On February 10, the 76ers signed him to a two-way contract, and on April 10, at the end of the regular season, his contract was converted to a standard contract.

In 14 regular-season games for the 76ers, Terry averaged 11.7 minutes, 4.1 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists. During the playoffs, he played in 7 games, accumulating 39 minutes and contributing 13 points. Terry was the 18th overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft and previously played for the Bulls for over three seasons.

The 76ers had originally signed another University of Arizona rising star, Caleb Love, to a two-way contract in early July. If they had retained Terry, the two could have played together in the 2026-27 season. With Terry's release, Love became the only University of Arizona alumnus on the roster.
