Hrafinberg aims to take on a greater leadership role in the new season.

Hrafinberg, Isak, and Wirtz have recently traveled to the United States to train with their Liverpool teammates. Hrafinberg said he was happy to get back into training and see his teammates, and he looks forward to taking on a greater leadership role in the new season.

Liverpool, led by new manager Andoni Iraola, will travel to Yankee Stadium to challenge Wrexham in another friendly match, continuing to prepare for the new season.

In the 2025/26 Premier League season, Hrafinberg contributed 5 goals and 3 assists for Liverpool. Following that season, Hrafinberg represented the Netherlands at the 2026 World Cup.

Liverpool midfielder Herfinberg said: "It's great to be back. I haven't seen everyone for a while, so it's wonderful to see them again. I really missed them. I had about three weeks off, during which I spent time with my family and had a very enjoyable holiday. I'm fully recovered and ready to get back into the game."

“I barely thought about football during the entire holiday; I just focused on spending time with my family. Last season, plus the World Cup, the whole schedule was just too long. So I told myself to enjoy the holiday and then fully commit when it’s time to come back.”

Speaking about new head coach Andoni Iraola, Hrafenbech said, "I'm really looking forward to working with him. His football philosophy, the intensity of the team's play, and his achievements at his previous club have all impressed me. So, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what he can bring to the team."

“I remember Bournemouth finished behind us last season, but to lead them to that result was truly outstanding. Every time we faced Bournemouth, it was a very difficult game. Manager Andoni Iraola did a fantastic job, and I hope he can also achieve success at Liverpool.”

Hrafenberg shared, "Especially after last season, I don't think we performed well. So everyone has a strong drive to prove themselves and make this season better."

"Time flies. I can't believe this is already my fourth season at Liverpool. Looking back at last season, my performance wasn't my best. So I hope to continue proving myself this season, and I also hope to become a more effective leader in the team. That's my biggest goal this season."

In addition, Hrafinbergh said, "I have played a lot of games and participated in the highest level of competition. So I should be considered one of the more experienced players in this team."

"The next friendly is against Wrexham, and hopefully I'll get some playing time. I'm really looking forward to wearing the Liverpool shirt again and getting back on the pitch."
