Alavés have confirmed the signing of Miguel Rodriguez, with the player agreeing to a five-year contract with the club.

Alavés have confirmed their summer signing, bringing in winger Miguel Rodriguez from Dutch Eredivisie side Utrecht. Following the agreement, the Galician player will officially join the club and sign a five-year contract, continuing to play for Alavés for the next few years.  

Miguel Rodriguez was born on April 29, 2003, in Redondra, Pontevedra Province, Spain. The arrival of this young winger will inject speed, individual dribbling skills, and the ability to create chances into Alavés' attack. He developed through Celta Vigo's youth academy, showcasing excellent one-on-one ability, refined footwork, and the ability to create attacking threats on the flanks from a young age.  

After completing his development in Celta Vigo's youth academy, Miguel Rodriguez took a significant step in his career in the 2023/24 season, making his first appearance for the team's first team in La Liga. He then chose to move to the Dutch league for a new challenge, joining FC Utrecht to begin his overseas experience.  

During his two seasons with the team, the young winger continued to improve himself, not only gaining experience in the Eredivisie but also participating in European competitions with the team, gradually developing into a forward with speed, dribbling ability, and attacking creativity.  

Before joining Alavés, Miguel Rodriguez had already accumulated a wealth of playing experience at Utrecht. He made 45 Eredivisie appearances for the team, scoring 10 goals, and also made his Europa League debut, contributing 2 goals in 8 appearances.  

With his versatility, speed, and ability to break through defenses, he has become a key signing that fits Alaves' tactical needs. The club believes that this young attacker still has great potential for improvement and looks forward to him helping the team achieve even greater progress in the future.
