Inter Milan released a statement on Wednesday confirming the contract extension with Jan Biseck. The new contract extends the original 2029 expiry date by two years, until June 30, 2031.
For Inter Milan, this move is primarily aimed at dispelling rumors that Bicek might transfer to Bayern Munich. According to renowned Italian journalist Pasquale Guaro, Bicek's annual salary will increase significantly from €1.9 million to €3 million after the contract extension.
The 25-year-old Biseck is a 1.96-meter-tall German center-back who made his professional debut for his former club FC Köln in a Bundesliga match against Hertha Berlin on November 26, 2017. He subsequently played for several clubs including Holstein Kiel, Roda, and Gimnasia y Aarhus, before joining Inter Milan in July 2023 for €7.2 million.
To date, Biseck has made 103 appearances for Inter Milan, scoring 8 goals and providing 8 assists. His most notable achievement for Inter is undoubtedly winning the 2023/24 Italian Super Cup with the team.
With Viktor Bicek secured, Inter Milan's contract extension negotiations with Francesco Pio Esposito are nearing completion. The two sides are expected to extend his contract until June 30, 2031, with the player's annual salary increasing from €1.2 million to €3 million.
