Spirit defeated Liquid to advance to the semifinals of BLAST Bounty Tournament Season 2.

In the quarterfinals of the 2026 Counter-Strike 2 BLAST Bounty Season 2, Spirit defeated Liquid, who had a brand-new lineup, with a score of 2:0, and successfully secured a ticket to the semifinals.

Throughout the match, Spirit's young rifler, donk, displayed overwhelming dominance. Liquid had shown improvement in their first match after the roster change, leading many viewers to anticipate a close contest. However, donk's outstanding performance defied expectations.

Donk achieved 42 kills and 20 deaths in the two games, with an overall rating of 1.76, leading the team to control the pace of the game throughout.

The first game took place on Dust2, the map chosen by Spirit. Despite Liquid's tenacious efforts to seize several opportunities and secure seven rounds, Spirit's offensive and defensive transitions were more efficient. Donk and teammate tN1R each racked up 20 kills, blocking Liquid's counterattack. Even with Liquid's Jorko achieving a high individual rating of 1.62, it wasn't enough to change the course of the game, and Spirit ultimately won the first game 13-7.

Entering the second map, Liquid's situation deteriorated further. Spirit demonstrated absolute dominance on offense, and Liquid's defenses could not withstand the opponent's continuous breakthroughs, ultimately succumbing after only 5 rounds.

With the return of head coach Hally, Spirit's overall tactical execution has been further strengthened. Spirit has already won twice in the previous three BLAST Bounty tournaments.

With several traditionally strong teams eliminated early in the online stage, Spirit is currently considered the biggest favorite to win this tournament and has a very good chance of winning its third championship trophy in the last four editions.
