Draymond Green signed a one-year, $27.7 million contract extension with the Warriors, marking his 15th season in Golden State.

July 31 - According to ESPN, Draymond Green has reached a one-year, $27.7 million contract with the Golden State Warriors.

Draymond Green declined his $27.6 million player option this summer to free up salary cap space for the Warriors to pursue LeBron James. However, with James ultimately joining the Philadelphia 76ers, the Warriors quickly re-signed Green. Reportedly, this contract does not include a no-trade clause .

The new season will be Draymond Green's 15th season with the Warriors. His consecutive years with the team are second only to his teammate Stephen Curry, making him the second longest-serving active player in the league with the same team.

Last season, Green played 68 games, averaging 27.5 minutes per game. Despite a slight decline in his performance, he has publicly stated that he is willing to accept a substitute role and continue to contribute to the team's championship aspirations if head coach Steve Kerr deems it necessary.
