League of Legends: Bulldog mid-laner Ronaldo suspended for violating the

Sheep Esports reported on Saturday that Ronaldo, the mid-laner for the British League of Legends esports club Bulldog (BDG), has been suspended by Riot Games for violating the "stream sniping" rule.

According to the report, Ronaldo recently posted several screenshots on his personal X (Twitter) account showing off that he had earned 4,697 LP, surpassing Fnatic's mid-laner Vladi and reaching the top of the Western European solo queue ladder. However, this action immediately drew criticism from netizens.

In fact, rumours of Ronaldo's misconduct have been circulating online recently, with critics generally accusing the Romanian player of violating the "stream sniping" rule during the Champion Pick/Ban (BP) phase.

As the criticism intensified, some netizens finally couldn't hold back any longer and sent evidence of Ronaldo's alleged violation to Riot Games official Drew Levin.

After several days of investigation, including the use of the Video Assistant Refereeing (VAR) system, Levin personally informed Ronaldo that the allegations of violation were true.

Levin stated that, according to official rules, Riot Games has decided to suspend Ronaldo's account for two weeks.

Furthermore, all of Ronaldo's achievements and points from the recently concluded season will be stripped, rewards earned last season will be revoked, and his rank will be changed to 'Master 0'.

Finally, Levin urged Ronaldo to consider this punishment a stern warning from Riot Games and to reflect on his actions, otherwise his professional League of Legends esports career may be ruined by himself.

The 27-year-old Ronaldo was an former ace player of Fnatic's (FNC) Academy team, winning several B-tier tournaments with the team in 2019.

Later, while playing for Misfits' Academy, he also helped them win the 2020 LPL Finals Championship.

In May of this year, Ronaldo joined Bulldog (BDG) from The Secret Club (TSC).

Not long ago, he participated in the LFL Spring with his team, but they were defeated by Arctic Pandas (AP) and only finished in 5th place.
