August 3rd - According to HoopsHype reporter Michael Scotto, Christian Koloko has reached a one-year contract agreement with the New Orleans Pelicans. Sources indicate that Koloko will participate in training camp to compete for a final roster spot .
Koloko was the Toronto Raptors' 33rd overall pick in the first round of the 2022 NBA draft . The 6'3 " center from Cameroon suffered from blood clots during his rookie season, and the Raptors waived him in January 2024. Subsequently, the NBA determined that he was temporarily ineligible to play.
In September 2024 , Koloko signed with the Los Angeles Lakers and received clearance to return to play a month later. In the 2024-25 season, he played 37 games for the Lakers . Last season, Koloko played for the Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Atlanta Hawks, and a G League team.
Throughout his career, Koloko has played 122 NBA games, averaging 2.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 12.3 minutes per game .
