Looking ahead to the new season, Jorel Hattow believes Chelsea have the ability to compete for the title.

Chelsea, nicknamed the "Blue Lions," will play a friendly match against Italian giants Juventus at the Kai Tak Sports Park in Hong Kong. Jorel Jato stated that he believes the team, under new manager Xabi Alonso, is capable of competing for the title with other rivals in the new season.

Joel Hatto, from the Netherlands, joined Chelsea in August 2025 and made 22 appearances in the Premier League in the 2025/26 season, also contributing two goals in other competitions.

In addition, Jorel Hatto was also previously selected for the Netherlands national team squad for the 2026 World Cup.

20-year-old Jorel Hatto said, "I really enjoyed my time at Chelsea. Although I didn't get many opportunities to play at the beginning, I have never regretted joining Chelsea. I have always known that it was the right decision."

“I think being able to play in different positions really helps me. Everyone knows that the coach is very flexible in his tactical arrangements, and so is our whole team. Whether it’s a 4-defender or 3-defender system, I have a role that I can adapt to because I can play as a center-back or a left-back.”

In addition, Jorel Hatto said, "I have also played in midfield, and I like to break through to the center to participate in the organization and combination play, so I believe I can provide the manager with more options."
