Purge, a well-known Dota 2 commentator, did not receive an invitation to create his own voice pack.

Recently, Valve released an update for TI15 (The 15th International Dota 2 Invitational Tournament), which includes group stage predictions and exclusive in-game voice packs for invited commentators and hosts.

However, players quickly noticed that veteran commentator Purge was not on the list. Purge later confirmed during a live stream that he had indeed not received an official invitation this year.

This news sparked widespread dissatisfaction within the Dota 2 community. Purge had been involved in the commentary and analysis of almost every TI tournament and had created several classic memes, such as "Meteorologist Purge".

As a veteran analyst in the industry, Purge has consistently dedicated hours to in-depth analysis of game updates and has created numerous tutorials to help beginners get started. Team Liquid coach Blitz and several other industry professionals have also expressed disappointment with the official initial decision.

However, the situation took a turn. In the latest game update on August 3rd, players discovered that the store's backend had added resource files containing Purge-specific voice lines. These included lines like "Give me your money" and phrases adapted from internet memes such as "55 Healing Salve, 55 Healing Potions, 55 True Sight Wards, 55 Mangoes." The addition of voice packs in other languages also indicated that this was not a system bug.

Although neither Valve nor Purge himself has publicly responded, the inclusion of in-game resource files suggests that the official decision has changed, and Purge may officially return to the TI15 commentary lineup.
