Doncic's ex-fiancée withdrew her child support lawsuit, and the two parties turned to private negotiations.

The child support dispute involving NBA Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Doncic has taken a new turn.

His former fiancée, Anamaria Goltes, has officially withdrawn the lawsuit she filed in Los Angeles Superior Court in March of this year, which was originally intended to seek child support and legal fees for Doncic's two daughters.

In court documents, Gortes clearly stated that the withdrawal of the lawsuit was intended to resolve the matter amicably and in the best interests of the children. Currently, Gortes lives in Slovenia with their two daughters, aged 2 years and 7 months.

Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Doncic had previously applied for a temporary injunction in a Slovenian court in February to gain visitation rights. The dispute over joint custody and child support for their children has now been handed over to the local Slovenian court for adjudication.

To address family matters and spend time with his daughter, 27-year-old Luka Doncic announced his decision to withdraw from representing Slovenia in the European qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup after the Lakers' playoff exit. He publicly expressed his deep love for his daughter, stating that family always comes first and that he had to make the difficult decision to temporarily leave the national team.

Meanwhile, in order to balance family and the needs of preparing for the new season, Doncic will host a four-day mini-training camp for the entire Lakers team from August 20 to 24 in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, inviting all Lakers teammates to participate, so that they can spend time with their daughters and enhance team cohesion.
