Nice have officially announced the signing of Metz attacking midfielder Gotje Hein on a three-year contract.

Nice have released an official announcement confirming the signing of Metz attacking midfielder Gotje Hein. The two sides have signed a three-year contract, valid until June 30, 2029.

The club also confirmed that Hein will wear the number 7 jersey for Nice. His transfer fee is estimated at €1.75 million, plus a relegation bonus of up to €1.25 million.

The 29-year-old Hein came through the Metz youth academy and spent early in his career on loan to Tours and Valenciennes. He then joined Auxerre and played for them for four seasons, making 152 appearances and contributing 29 goals and 20 assists.

In August 2024, Hein returned to Metz after a four-year absence. To date, he has made 97 appearances for Metz, scoring 23 goals and providing 20 assists.

Regarding the signing, Nice president Maurice Cohen commented: "We are delighted to welcome Gotje to Nice.
