Official: Rennes have extended manager Hayes' contract until June 2028.

Rennes announced on Friday that they have extended the contract of head coach Frank Hayes. The new contract extends the original expiry date of next summer by one year, until June 30, 2028.

In addition to Hayes, his two assistants, Lillian Nalis and John Ramare, have also renewed their contracts.

The 55-year-old Hayes has served as manager of Shanger, Lorient, Lens, and Nice, and has also been responsible for the youth academy affairs of Rennes, Lorient, and Lens. His most representative achievement in his coaching career is undoubtedly leading Lens to the runner-up position in Ligue 1 in the 2022/23 season.

In February of this year, Hayes officially succeeded Habib Beyer as manager of Rennes. He has led the team to a record of 8 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses so far, and has reached the Europa League final.

After completing the contract extension, Hayes said: "I feel very satisfied and happy to be coaching at Rennes. I feel better every day. I am very satisfied with everything we are doing so far and the feedback from the players and coaching staff."
