Bucks guard Tyler Herro stated that he is focused on winning and is not afraid of contract pressure.

Milwaukee Bucks' new addition Tyler Herro made it clear while attending a youth basketball camp that he is currently fully focused on helping the team win games and is not feeling any pressure as his contract enters its final year.

As a Milwaukee native, the 26-year-old All-Star guard returned to his hometown in a blockbuster trade that shocked the league – the Bucks sent two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Bucks in exchange for Tyler Herro, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel'el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis, and several draft assets including the draft rights to Nate Ament, the 13th overall pick in the 2026 draft.

Regarding speculation that he will become a free agent after the 2026-27 season, Herro said: "This is a new beginning for me, the coaching staff and the whole team. I don't think the contract will be a burden."

After a disappointing season with a 32-50 record and no playoff hopes, new Bucks head coach Taylor Jenkins took over a Bucks team in transition.

In response to pessimistic views about the Bucks' prospects, Herro stated that the entire team is determined to prove themselves: "People may think we won't win many games, but our goal is to win as many games as possible and build a completely new team culture from day one."

After recovering from injuries last season, Herro, who averaged over 20 points per game for five consecutive seasons, is eager to bounce back with his hometown team and lead Milwaukee's young backcourt into a new era.
