Former NBA guard Monta Ellis appointed general manager of Alcoms State University men's basketball team

Ellis was born in Jackson, Mississippi, while Alcor State University's main campus is located in Lohman. He attended Lanier High School in Jackson, where he led his team to two state championships. In 2005 , Ellis entered the NBA draft and was selected by the Golden State Warriors.
