Lens completes contract extension with France U21s international defender Ismaëlo Ganiou..

Lens announced on their official website on Monday that they have extended the contract of its France U21s international defender Ismaëlo Ganiou.
According to Lens' official statement, Ganiou has signed on a new long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030.
About Ismaëlo Ganiou
Ganiou, who is only still 21 years old, was born on March 14, 2005, in Lille, France. He is 1.85 meters tall ,and primarily plays as a center-back but can also play as a right-back. He holds dual French and Burkina Faso citizenship.
Ganiou joined Lens' youth academy at the age of 10 and began playing for their B team in 2022.
In January 2025, Ganiou joined Padova but was immediately loaned-out to Annecy.
That same summer, Ganiou returned to Lens as a free agent and completed his Lens first-team debut in October 2025.
Last season, Ganiou made 29 appearances for the Ligue 1 dark horse in all competitions, scoring 3 goals and winning the Coupe de France with the team.
