The Cleveland Cavaliers, founded in 1970 , have won eight conference championships, reached the NBA Finals five times, and won their only NBA championship in 2016. Below are the top five scorers in Cavaliers franchise history:
1. LeBron James ( 23,119 points)
After joining the Cavaliers as the number one draft pick in 2003, LeBron James played for them for 11 seasons, averaging 27.2 points per game. During his time with the Cavaliers, James was selected to the All-Star team 10 times and won the regular season MVP twice . In the championship-winning season of 2016 , he averaged 26.4 points per game in the regular season, and his playoff average rose to 32.8 points per game.
2. Zydrunas Ilgauskas ( 10616 points)
Zydrunas Ilgauskas was selected 20th overall in the first round of the 1996 NBA draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He played 12 seasons with the Cavaliers , averaging 13.8 points per game . He was a two- time All-Star. In 2003 and 2005 , he averaged 17.2 and 16.9 points per game, respectively.
3. Brad Doherty ( 10389 points)
Doherty, the number one overall pick in 1986 , spent his entire NBA career with the Cavaliers, playing for eight seasons and being selected to the All-Star team five times. He averaged 19.0 points per game during his Cavaliers career.
4. Austin Carr ( 10265 points)
