Spalletti was satisfied with Douglas Luis's performance.

Juventus defeated Palermo 2-0 in a recent friendly match, thanks to goals from Yildiz and Milik. Manager Spalletti expressed satisfaction with Douglas Luiz's performance and believes the midfielder is likely to remain with the team for the new season.

Douglas Luiz, 28, was loaned to Nottingham Forest for the 2025/26 season before being loaned to Aston Villa in January of this year, where he scored a goal in the Premier League that season.

Reflecting on the performance against Palermo, Juventus coach Spalletti said, "Because Alaibegovic was almost always pressing the opponent's right center-back, Yildiz had to drop back more to track the full-back. He was very humble and is a professional player who gives his all for the team."
