The second day of the group stage of The International 2026 (TI 2026) has concluded. The two Eastern European powerhouses, Team VISION and two-time champions Team Spirit, have demonstrated absolute dominance, both leading the leaderboard with perfect records of three wins out of three.
The two teams will face off on the third day, with the winner securing the first direct qualification spot for the knockout stage. As the top favorite to win this tournament, TEAM VISION continues their hot streak.
In the third round of the group stage, VISION demonstrated strong control of the game, sweeping their formidable opponent BoomBoys 2-0 and advancing to the next round, just one step away from a place in the knockout stage.
Meanwhile, Team Spirit, a two-time TI champion, once again demonstrated their prowess as a major tournament team. Facing the formidable Team Liquid, Spirit withstood the pressure in the decisive game, ultimately defeating their opponents 2-1 and improving their overall record to 3-0.
Super core player Yatoro became the focus of the entire event, racking up a staggering 50 kills in the series; in the first game, he played the hero Kez and achieved an astonishing 31 kills, tying the TI record for the highest single-game kills, sounding the horn for the team's assault on the Aegis of Champions.
In other matches, Chinese teams rebounded after a sluggish start, with Vici Gaming completing a comeback, and Xtreme Gaming and Team Resilience also defeating their respective opponents to secure their first wins; while former champions OG suffered a losing streak and fell into dire straits.
With the two undefeated teams, VISION and Spirit, about to face off, the battle for qualification for TI 2026 has entered a heated phase.
