Werder Bremen officially announce the signing of Club Brugge's Dutch defensive midfielder Ludovit Reis..


Werder Bremen announced on its official website on Saturday that the club has signed Club Brugge's Dutch defensive midfielder Ludovit Reis.


According to the Bundesliga club's official statement, Reis has on a three-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2029.


After completing the transfer procedures, Reis, who was interviewed by the Werder Bremen official website for the first time, said, “Werder is a close-knit club, and everyone who knows me knows that I really appreciate that kind of atmosphere.”


“My discussions with the club’s management were very positive, and I’m really looking forward to taking on this new challenge in Bremen.”


About Ludovit Reis


Reis, 26, was born on June 1, 2000, in Haarlem, the Netherlands. He is 1.78 meters tall, plays as a defensive midfielder, and holds dual Dutch and Slovak citizenship.


As a child, Reis played for the youth academy of the non-league club Hoofddorp. He joined the Groningen youth academy in 2015 and completed his Groningen first-team debut in a KNVB Cup match in September 2017.


In the summer of 2019, Reis joined Barcelona for €3 million. During his two-year spell at Barça, Reis played exclusively for the B team.


In October 2020, Reis was loaned-out to Osnabrück.


The following summer, Reis joined Hamburg for €1 million.


In July 2025, Reis joined Club Brugge for €7 million.


Last season, Reis made 12 appearances for Club Brugge across all competitions, recording no goals or assists, but helped the team achieve the double—winning both the Jupiler Pro League and the Belgian Cup.
