Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton said he is confident in his physical recovery and looks forward to participating in training camp in top condition before the new season.
In the 2024/25 NBA Finals, Tyrese Haliburton helped the Indiana Pacers win in a highly competitive game. However, in the crucial seventh round, Haliburton suffered a torn Achilles tendon, and the Indiana Pacers ultimately lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 91-103, missing out on the NBA championship.
Tyrese Haliburton, 26, said in an interview, "I can tell you that I'm in great shape right now. I feel fantastic and I'm training in all aspects. I'm now participating in informal scrimmages regularly. I feel great and am ready for the new season. If today were the first game of the new season, I would be ready."
"I think any NBA player can tell you that the feeling of being out of breath before the first game is different. It's something you can't fully prepare for in advance. No matter how well I prepare, the exertion of going on the court in the first phase of the game will leave everyone feeling very tired."
In addition, Tyrese Haliburton said, "I know I will be in good shape for the new season, and the preseason is a process for players to find their game form. As the preseason goes on, head coach Rick Carlisle is doing a great job in this regard, and our playing time will get closer and closer to the regular season rotation."
“For me, right now it’s about getting myself into the best possible physical condition. I feel great right now and I’ll keep it up, and my goal is to be fully prepared for training camp.”
