Tommy Doyle: I'm ready to start whenever the team needs me.

Although he is still waiting for his first start for Wolves under Cesar Peschoto, Tommy Doyle said he was very happy to return to the team, which will face a busy schedule ahead.

Taking advantage of the extended break during the September-October international match day, Tommy Doyle and other Wolves players not called up to their national teams continued training at Compton Park, preparing for eight matches in the next 28 days. Wolves will begin this busy schedule next weekend with an away game against Middlesbrough.

Although Tommy Doyle is not a regular starter for Wolves at the start of the season, he has extensive Championship experience and understands that if the team wants to make a run for promotion this season, it must ensure that there is enough competition for every position and that someone is always ready to take responsibility in crucial moments.

When asked about his ability to adapt to different positions, Tommy Doyle said, "I spoke with the head coach a few days ago, and he told me that I need to make sure I can play in all three midfield positions."

“My main position now is the right-hand number 8, but when I’m not in possession, I’ll move forward more and play as a number 10. During the game, I can also switch to the left-hand number 8, or play as one of the two defensive midfielders when I have possession. As for playing as a lone defensive midfielder, I can do that too. It’s not a big problem for me because I’ve been playing like that since I was a child.”

"Being able to adapt to multiple positions is crucial. It gives you more playing time and makes it easier to get minutes in matches. Therefore, I'm always ready to start whenever the team needs me. If I don't make the starting lineup, I won't be as disappointed as I used to be. Because now I'm more focused on how to help my teammates, the club, and the head coach win three points when I'm on the field. That's the most important thing."

Speaking about working with the head coach, Tommy Doyle said, "Overall, it feels great. The head coach was also a player in the past, which is very important to us, especially for this team. He understands football very well and gives us a lot of room to maneuver when we have the ball. As long as everyone keeps working hard and keeps running, we won't be afraid to pass the ball for fear of losing possession, nor will we give up trying for fear of making mistakes."

"As a team, we need to maintain a high-intensity attitude, keep running and pressuring our opponents. With the current lineup, the last 10 to 20 minutes of the game often determine the final result, and our physical advantage and the large number of excellent players on the bench can help the team in key moments."

"He is truly outstanding. Not only on the field, but also off the field, the atmosphere is very relaxed every day, and there are very few times when the atmosphere is dull or everyone is in low spirits. Even if we lose a game, we quickly focus on the next game, so everyone always maintains a happy mood and smiles, and I think that is the way we play at our best."
