England's resounding victory over Croatia's Tuchel: A complete performance

England's "Three Lions" thrashed Croatia 7-0 in the third round of Group C of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, scoring repeatedly in both halves. Manager Thomas Tuchel stated that it was a complete performance and expressed his happiness that the players were able to maintain their competitive edge for an extended period.

"We played very smoothly for the first 40 minutes, right from the start of the game. I remember glancing at the time and thinking we were playing really well for the first three minutes. Then I glanced at the time again and realized we had been playing like that for seven minutes straight, and that form hadn't stopped."

Tuchel shared, "We maintained our rhythm throughout the game, constantly exploiting the space in the opponent's defense, and our ability to seize opportunities was excellent. Whether it was pressing back after losing possession or defending, we always maintained a hunger for victory while doing the most basic things well."

“I like the attitude the team showed. We always stay humble and do the basics right, which is why I think it was a complete performance.”

In addition, Tuchel said, "If I had to nitpick, it would probably be our performance in the last three minutes after we went up 3-0. We made a serious mistake and conceded a few goals that we shouldn't have. But overall, it was a performance at our highest level for the entire 90 minutes."
