Inter Milan president Marotta hopes the team can lift the Champions League title in the new season.

In an interview, Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta said that senior players must pass on the mentality of winning and striving for championships to their younger teammates, and set their sights on the Nerazzurri winning the Champions League title next season.

In the 2025/26 season, Inter Milan, under the leadership of coach Chivu, won the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia.

Inter Milan president Giuseppe Marotta said, "This team has a solid core, with several players who have been with the team for many years forming the true structure of the team. For example, Lautaro, Barella and Bastoni. Now, the most important thing is that they can pass on this winning mentality to the newly joined players."

“We are not a club that operates on a player-selling model. If a player leaves, it is usually because he has expressed his desire to leave. I must emphasize that Bastoni has never expressed any intention to leave. He is very happy here, and we have no need to sell players, so I think he will stay at Inter Milan.”

Furthermore, Inter Milan has reached the Champions League final twice in the past three years, but ultimately lost to Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Giuseppe Marotta said, "As Inter Milan's president, winning the Serie A title was my dream. But when one dream comes true, you have to create a new one. Next season, we hope to achieve something special in European competitions."
