Getafe permanently bought out on-loan Real Madrid wonderkid Mario Martín's ownership rights..


Getafe announced on their official website on Sunday that they have permanently acquired the rights of on-loan Spanish midfield wonderkid Mario Martín from Real Madrid.


According to Getafe's official statement, Martín has signed on a long-term four-year deal with the club which runs until the summer of 2030. Furthermore, in accordance with La Liga's official regulations, Martín's release clause has been adjusted, with the new amount set at €120 million.


About Mario Martín


The 22-year-old Martín was born on March 5, 2004, in Sonseca, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. He is 1.78 meters tall and plays as a defensive midfielder.


Martín joined the youth academies of his hometown's non-league clubs Sonseca and Toledo at a young age. In 2016, he joined Real Madrid's renowned La Fabrica youth academy, started playing for its B team in 2021, before completing his Real Madrid first-team debut by coming on as a substitute in a Copa del Rey match against fierce local rivals Atlético Madrid in January 2023.


As a member of Los Blancos, Martín won the La Liga title, the Copa del Rey title, the Supercopa de España title, the UEFA Champions League title, and the FIFA Club World Cup title once each with the club.


The following August, Martín was loaned-out to Real Valladolid.


In the summer of 2025, Martín joined Getafe on-loan with an option to buy.


Last season, Martín made 37 appearances for the La Liga club in all competitions, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.
