Al Ain officially announce the signing of Torino's Austria international right wing-back Valentino Lazaro..

Al Ain announced on its official website on Monday that the club has signed Austria international right wing-back Valentino Lazaro from Torino.

According to the UAE Pro League giants' official statement, Lazaro has signed on a three-year contract which runs until the summer of 2029. He will also wear the number 19 jersey.

About Valentino Lazaro

The 30-year-old Valentino Lazaro was born on March 24, 1996, in Graz, Austria. He is 1.80 meters tall and primarily plays as a right wing-back, but can also play as a left wing-back, right midfielder, or left midfielder. He holds Austrian, Angolan, and Cypriot citizenship.

Lazaro joined Grazer AK's youth academy at the age of six and moved to Red Bull Salzburg's youth academy in 2011 before completing his first-team debut by coming on as a substitute the following November at the age of 16, becoming one of the youngest players to ever debut for Red Bull Salzburg.

During his five-year spell at Salzburg, Lazaro helped the team achieve a Austrian Bundesliga and Austrian Cup double for five consecutive years.

In August 2017, Lazaro was loaned-out to Hertha Berlin, with his buy-out clause triggered the following summer.

In July 2019, Lazaro joined Inter Milan for €22 million.

During his time with I Nerazzurri, Lazaro helped the team reach the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia and the final of the Europa League.

From January of the following year until the first half of 2022, Lazaro was loaned-out to Newcastle United, Borussia Mönchengladbach, and Benfica. During his time with the latter, he helped his team reach the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals and the Taça da Liga final.

In August 2022, Lazaro joined Torino on-loan. Torino then triggered his buy-out clause the following August.

During his four-year spell with I Granata, Lazaro made 131 appearances and provided 17 assists across all competitions for the Serie A club.
