London-based esports club Tundra Esports officially announced its withdrawal from the Dota 2 professional scene on June 1, ending its six-year competitive career and transferring its entire roster to 1win.
Over the past six years, Tundra has won nine Tier 1 tournaments, including The International (TI) in 2022. In an official announcement, Tundra stated that after six unforgettable and successful years with this legendary team, the club is preparing to embark on a new chapter and thanked the team for the passion and memories they have brought to millions of fans worldwide.
The transfer includes Pure, bzm, 33, Ari, Whitemon, and coach MoonMeander. They will remain with the original squad and represent 1win in future matches.
Despite Tundra's outstanding performance in the current 2025-2026 season, winning four Tier A tournaments including BLAST Slam IV, BLAST Slam V, DreamLeague Season 28, and ESL One Birmingham, and securing a direct invite to The International 2026, the club has not disclosed the specific reasons for its withdrawal.
The TI direct invite slot belongs to the player roster and will therefore remain with 1win after the transfer. Prior to this, the Norwegian club HEROIC also disbanded its Dota 2 division in early May due to sustainability issues.
