G2 official statement: Contract extension completed with 23-year-old rifler HeavyGod

G2's CS2 team announced on Wednesday that it has renewed the contract of Nikita Martinenko (ID: HeavyGod). G2 has not yet disclosed the contract length or other details.

HeavyGod is 23 years old and holds dual Israeli and Ukrainian citizenship. He primarily plays as a rifler and has played for several teams throughout his professional career, including DREAM, Budapest Five, Websterz, Iron Branch, Endpoint, OG, and Cloud9.

In January 2025, HeavyGod officially replaced Nikola Christensen (ID: niko) in G2's starting lineup. To date, he has played 280 maps and participated in 6056 rounds for G2, with an average personal rating of 1.15, and won the Stake Ranked Season 1 and the 2025 BLAST Autumn Open Championship with the team.

Following HeavyGod's contract extension, G2 will embark on their journey to compete in the 2026 IEM Cologne, which begins on June 6th. G2's full roster is now as follows:
