Counter Strike 2: Imperial part ways with head coach zakk..

Brazilian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) club Imperial announced on Tuesday via its official X (Twitter) account that the team has parted ways with its head coach, zakk.

According to Imperial's official statement, the entire club is very grateful for zakk's contributions to the team and wishes him all the best for the future.

zakk himself also expressed his deep gratitude for the opportunities the club had given him. He wrote on his official social media account: "After three years with Imperial, it's time to say goodbye to the team today. This experience has been a very important phase of my career, filled with valuable experience, challenges, and unforgettable moments."

"Frequent roster changes made this journey challenging, but I sincerely thank all the teammates who fought alongside me. I want to thank all the staff and players who served IMP during this time. I will always cherish the wonderful memories spent with all the rosters."

The 34-year-old zakk led Immortals (the predecessor to MIBR) to the PGL Krakow Major finals in 2017, later coached at Luminosity and 9z, before taking over as head coach of Imperials from fnx in early 2023.

During his time coaching Imperial, he led the team to four Major championships and a top-four finish at the 2023 BLAST Spring Finals.

However, the Brazilian Counter Strike 2 (CS2) team faced a drastically different situation in 2026; having missed the Cologne Major, their Valve Regional Standings (VRS) plummeted to 81st, a significant drop from their peak of 11th in April 2024.

To ovecome this decline, Imperial signed AWP-er decenty in February and recalled lurker levi, but their ranking continued to slip.

Imperial's current roster is:

In-Game Leader: VINI

AWP-er: decenty

Rifler: noway

Lurker levi

Entry Fragger: chelo

Rifler: skullz (stand in)

Rifler: chayJESUS (on-loan at RED Candis)
