South Africa coach Bros criticized the Czech team's playing style and questioned the stadium conditions.

In a crucial Group A match of the 2026 World Cup, South Africa narrowly drew 1-1 with the Czech Republic thanks to a late penalty.

This draw kept both teams' hopes of advancing alive. However, in the post-match press conference, South Africa's head coach Hugo Broos expressed strong dissatisfaction with the Czech team's direct long-ball tactics.

Bros directly accused the opponent of disrespecting the aesthetics of football, stating, "The Czech team is a very physical team; they don't like to play football or possession-based football. Their style of play is very direct, and all their players are very tall. We had a very difficult time against those high balls."

"But I think if you really love football, you would prefer the style of play we showed today, rather than the style of play of the Czech team."

In response to Bros' public criticism, Czech national team coach Miroslav Koubek refused to engage in a war of words, simply stating, "That's his opinion. He can keep that opinion, but my opinion is different."

Besides criticizing the playing style, Bros also publicly criticized the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. He bluntly stated, "To be honest, this is not a professional football stadium at all. It's a beautiful, very good stadium, but only the grass is for football, and everything else is not."

Bross complained that the dome stadium prevented him from experiencing the atmosphere that football should have, and said that the Aztec stadium was the real football stadium in comparison.
