The Miami Heat have officially confirmed that they have exercised Peller Larson's team option for the 2026/27 season.

The Miami Heat officially announced on Wednesday that they have exercised the team option for Pelle Larson's rookie contract for the 2026/27 season, effective immediately. Other details have not yet been disclosed by the team.

Larson, 25, was born in Stockholm, Sweden, and entered the NBA in July 2024 as the 44th overall pick in the second round. A 6'3" (1.96m) and 98kg (48kg) swingman, he has played 125 regular season games for the Heat to date, averaging 8.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in 21.0 minutes per game, with a 48.0% field goal percentage and a 32.8% three-point percentage.

Larson also played four playoff games for the Heat. He averaged 13.0 minutes per game, contributing 5.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.0 assists.

Multiple sources have confirmed that Larson was previously considered a potential trade asset in the trade negotiations between the Heat and the Bucks surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo. However, the Heat management ultimately chose to keep him on the roster.

Larson's three-year contract with the Heat is nearing its final year. With the team exercising its option, he will receive $2.3 million in salary for the 2026/27 season. Reports also indicate that this salary is currently non-guaranteed.
