In the third round of Group A at the 2026 World Cup, Mexico easily defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 at the Azteca Stadium. With three wins out of three and nine points, they secured first place in the group and advanced smoothly to the knockout stage.

After this match, the Czech Republic completely lost hope of advancing and ranked last with a record of 1 draw and 2 losses, accumulating 1 point.

At the start of the first half, the Czech Republic launched an attack on Mexico. In the 8th minute, Vladimir Dzafar crossed from the right, and Denis Vysinski's shot inside the penalty area went just wide. In the 12th minute, Dzafar's long throw-in from the right was cleared by Cesar Montes, and Michal Sadilek's follow-up shot went wildly over the bar.
